&Lambda d n result from dn events

Event selection

In order to investigate possible S/N improvement, correlations between hyperon mass and

1. Deuteron momentum

2. Neutron momentum

3. dn total momentum=Y0 momentum

are examined firstly.

S/N improvement is feasible with neutron momentum. Therefore, &Lambda is defined by 1100.0< MY- < 1140.0 .AND. neutron moemntum > 400 MeV/c. We expect ~480 counts combinatorial BG, out of 1803 &Lambda d n events.
