Today's Progress 8. Aug. 2005

Situations....

1. BLC tracking: enabled, but shift correction, time-to-time dt-dx reconstruction are not yet. -> T0 consistency

2. VDC tracking: enabled, time-to-time dt-dr reconstruction is done, and the improvements for both beam and cosmic ray are presented. Spline correction is not yet. -> TC consistency

3. PDC tracking: under construction. -> PA consistency

VDC up yx-tracking1 VDC up yz-tracking1 VDC down yx-tracking1 VDC down yz-tracking1

Run-by-run variation of VDC resolution for y-x znd y-z tracking AFTER dt-dr time-to-time reconstruction and BEFORE spline correction for COSMIC RAY DATA, compared to that obtained BEFORE time-to-time reconstruction. Horizontal axis represents the run number and the vertical resolution by mm(sigma), again. The 8 dt-dr functions have been constructed for 8 terms, from which all the available cosmic ray data within it are picked up, and merged to ensure enough wire-by-wire statistics. The resolution of VDC bottom is now stable at about 250 micron, while that for VDC top is about 270 micron. This would be improved more by SPLINE CORRECTION.

beam-tracking-by-VDC1

Run-by-run variation of VDC resolution for y-x znd y-z tracking BEFORE dt-dr time-to-time reconstruction and BEFORE spline correction for BEAM. dt-dr function is taken as that for cosmic ray tracking. The resolution of VDC is now stable at around 420 micron. This large value in appearance is mainly due to tracking aggravation for inclined tracks. We expect drastical improvement with SPLINE CORRECTION, while time-to-time re-construction of dt-dr function alone does not affect so much. Sudden jump at around run 140 is due to polality change. If we accept hardware trigger timing as time 0, then tracking get worse for K^+ by its life time.

VDC up yx-tracking2 VDC up yz-tracking2 VDC down yx-tracking2 VDC down yz-tracking2

Run-by-run variation of VDC resolution for y-x znd y-z tracking AFTER dt-dr time-to-time reconstruction and BEFORE spline correction for BEAM. dt-dr functions are taken as those for cosmic ray tracking. The resolution is not clearly improved. For beam, SPLINE CORRECTION affects so much, since inclination is fairly large compared to cosmic ray events.

To be done on tracking....

1. BLC tracking: shift correction, time-to-time dt-dx reconstruction.

2. VDC tracking: Time-to-time spline correction.

3. PDC tracking: under construction. Some miss-connection or cross-talk exist and they should be solved.
