Hi,
Attached is a collection of page scans from an old LBL (UCRL) publication
that I have found very useful.
If you look at page 10 (sheet 6/22) you will find the range of muons from 10
to 100 MeV/c. Note that the usual definition of range is the extrapolated
range (see e.g. Segre, Nuclei and Particles, second edition, p 21 Fig. 2-1).
The log scales are somewhat difficult to interpret, and I have written some
numbers on the vertical lines to help. The line on the log-log plot is
reasonably close to the R=k*p^{3.5} expression. The exponent might be more
like 3.55 here.
I don't know whether the straggling of 0.1 is reasonable. In fact, I don't
know if it is sigma or FWHM. It could be treated as a free parameter, but
only after the offset (-5.03) in the range vs. momentum expression is
understood.
